In mid May Mrs. Meloche's grade 11 Ceramics students and Mrs.
Brockest's Grade 12 Visual Arts students spent the day at the Alton Mill Art
Center in Caledon. The Mill is home to
25 studio artists and galleries.
Students in the ceramics class spent the day with Ann Randeraad, working
on the Potter's wheel and students in the grade 12 art class spent the day with
Andrea Bird from the Hive learning how to Encaustic Paint [painting with wax, a
tradition that dates back to ancient Egyptian times]. We had a beautiful day and the students
produced some amazing art pieces.
