The grade 12 class meets at 8:00am to depart each year on their annual field trip and we return at 10:00pm, it is a long day for the students but well worth our time. Our first stop is the Caledon Badlands where the students photograph the red clay formations and hike the trails, this year we were interrupted by a little rain and took cover in the trees.
Following the badlands we usually visit Ash Bridges Bay, however this year due to disruptive weather in the morning we stopped at the Distillery before lunch. After lunch we stopped at Riverdale farm to visit one of Torontos best spots and then headed off to University of Toronto Hart House Campus for some architectural shots and portraits. We then walked over to graffiti ally on Queen West where the students took portraits of each other. Following the visit to graffiti ally we walked over to Dundas Square to stop for dinner before starting our night photography. The students were popular on this trip! Pedestrians kept stopping them to ask what they were doing or who we were waiting for.
Below are a few visual highlights from our trip. The students work will be posted shortly on the site and keep an eye out in the halls of FMM to see their prints first hand.
A special thanks to Ms. Lyn for helping supervise our excursion.
