This past April, 43
grade 11 and 12 music students travelled to Boston on a well-planned and
exciting trip. We had the opportunity to work with Tom Everett, Harvard
music professor, who stressed the importance of music and the arts in a
well-rounded education. We watched the hilarious production of “Shear
Madness”, where we “fell off our seats” laughing so much (agitato).
One of the major highlights was attending a performance of the
world-renowned Boston Symphony Orchestra. In additional to all the
musical activities, we had the opportunity to discover the wonderful city
through the Boston Duck Tours, a visit to Quincy market, a tour inside
Fenway Park, a dinner at Cheers restaurant, and a guided tour exploring the
campus at Harvard. Thank you to all those who contributed to an excellent
trip, with memories to last a lifetime. ~Mrs.
